What is the Junior Debaters League?
The Junior Debaters League is a live online debate competition for Grades 3–8, designed to build confidence, public speaking skills, and critical thinking. Students debate age-appropriate topics in front of peers, parents, and expert judges.
How is the event structured?
Qualifiers: October 25, 2025
Finals: November 1, 2025
Students are placed into structured breakout rooms.
Expert judges moderate and score every round.
What do participants gain?
Certificates of Participation for all students
Top Awards: 100% scholarship + Reward for the champion; tiered scholarships for runners-up
Skills: Persuasion, clarity, quick thinking, and confidence in public speaking
What preparation resources will we get?
All registered parents receive prep support via email:

Is there a fee?

What do parents need to prepare at home?
- A laptop/desktop with Zoom installed
- Stable internet connection
- A quiet, well-lit space for the child to debate
- Encourage your child to explore the provided debate topics beforehand
Can parents assist during the debate?
Parents may assist with technical setup only. Once the debate begins, participants must perform independently.
What if we face technical issues?
Try to rejoin Zoom immediately using the same link.
If unresolved, contact the event helpdesk via [WhatsApp/Support Email].
Time lost due to personal internet/device issues cannot be compensated, but our team will redirect participants back into their original breakout room whenever possible.
What are the judging criteria?

When will results be announced?
Qualifiers results: Shared within 48 hours via email and WhatsApp
Finals results: Announced live on Nov 1 and followed by official certificates & scholarship details
