What Is Scratch Coding Olympiad Kahoot?

Scratch Coding Olympiad Kahoot is designed to test participants' knowledge and skills in Scratch Programming. It will also test additional skills like Logical Aptitude, Reasoning, Problem Identification and Solving.

Participants may be required to demonstrate their understanding of programming concepts such as variables, loops, conditionals, and events. They may also be required to create programs, solve coding problems, or debug existing code.

All of this with the fun element of KAHOOT. Participants will compete with peers across the country on the Kahoot platform.

Contest Details

  1. Scratch Coding Olympiad Kahoot (SOK) will take part as follows:
    • Grades 1&2, June 17, 2023
    • Grades 3&4, 5&6 June 18, 2023
    Scratch Coding Olympiad Kahoot is designed for students of Grades 1 to 6. Grade levels for participation are determined by current School Grade.
  2. Students and parents are expected to provide correct school details during the time of registration so that they can be placed in age-appropriate groups.
  3. This contest is meant only for students from Grades 1 to 6 residing in the United States.
  4. Scratch Coding Olympiad Kahoot virtual contest will take place entirely online.
  5. All entries for the contest Scratch Coding Olympiad Kahoot will end by June 15, 2023.
  6. The Scratch Coding Olympiad Kahoot date will be held in 3 categories on the following dates as follows:
    • Grades 1 & 2: June 17, 2023 (11:00 AM Central Time)
    • Grades 3 & 4: June 18, 2023 (11:00 AM Central Time)
    • Grades 5 & 6: June 18, 2023 (12:30 PM Central Time)
  7. Winners will be announced on the day of the contest.
  8. This is a Kahoot challenge, so students will earn points based on speed and accuracy for every question
  9. Awards & Scholarships for Scratch Coding Olympiad Kahoot:
    • 1st Place Winner will be awarded a $75 Amazon Gift Coupon + Winner Certificate + 100% Scholarship to 12 weeks subscription to any one of our programs.
    • 2nd Place Winner will be awarded a $50 Amazon Gift Coupon + Winner Certificate + 80% Scholarship to 12 weeks subscription to any one of our programs.
    • 3rd Place Winner will be awarded a $25 Amazon Gift Coupon + Winner Certificate + 50% Scholarship to 2 weeks subscription to any one of our programs.
    • Featured blog interviews and digital press release about the 3 winners per category
    • Participation certificates for all contestants.
  1. Kindly note the following points related to Awards & Scholarships:
    • The awards & scholarships must be availed within a maximum of 15 days of the event.
    • The scholarships are applicable for new subscriptions only and not for any renewals.
    • If a student has already won more than 2 Awards & Scholarships in the last 2 years, they are not eligible for scholarship even if they win the contest.
  2. This is a FREE ONLINE EVENT.
  3. Students must confirm their identity upon winning. In case students are not able to confirm their identity, they will not be eligible for the awards & scholarships.
  4. Following the competition, winners will be interviewed by our PR team, and we admit the rights to publish the interviews across various channels associated with us.
  5. Students will receive unique IDs on SMS and email as soon as students register for the contest. The mail /SMS must be kept with care, as it will be used as a user ID for the contest.
  6. In case you do not see any communication post-registration, please check your email spam folders.
  7. Participants are requested to subscribe to our mailing list to ensure they do not miss any preparatory material for Scratch Coding Olympiad Kahoot.
  8. In case you have registered for more than one child, you will receive separate unique IDs for each of them.
  9. This is a private contest, and we possess every right to disenroll an entry if our team finds it inappropriate.
